MASERATI GRANTURISMO VS. BMW M6

• The GranTurismo cruises up to 21 mpg highway, better than the M6’s 20 mpg highway rating.
• Enjoy the standard premium sound system as you drive the GranTurismo. You’ll need to pay extra for a premium sound system in the M6, because it’s only an option. The same goes for MP3 player capability, and an auxiliary audio input.
• A heated driver seat is also standard inside the GranTurismo. You’ll also have to pay more for driving comfort in the R8, because it’s just an option.
• A wireless cellphone hookup comes standard in the GranTurismo. It’s only offered as an option in the M6, so get ready to pay extra.
• The GranTurismo increases your nighttime visibility by offering standard HID headlights. Unfortunately, they’re not available on the M6.
• Speaking of increased visibility, the GranTurismo also comes with standard fog lamps. And the M6? Sorry, they’re not offered.
• Remote trunk release comes standard in the GranTurismo for easier cargo packing. The M6 doesn’t include this feature at all.

• The GranTurismo starts at $132,825, which is over $30,000 less than the R8’s starting price. Even if you upgrade to the GranTurismo MC Centennial Edition, it’s still over $34,000 more affordable than the R8’s top model.
• Standard HID headlights on the GranTurismo increase your visibility in the dark. The R8 doesn’t include this helpful feature at all.
• Dual Zone A/C comes as a standard feature in the GranTurismo. The R8, on the other hand, doesn’t offer this comfort feature at all.
• Mirror memory can return the mirrors to your preferred position after someone else has adjusted them. This feature is standard in the GranTurismo, and not offered at all in the R8.
• Likewise, seat memory is also a standard feature in the GranTurismo. This feature is also not offered in the R8. Clearly, personalizing your riding experience is easier in the GranTurismo.

GRANTURISMO CONVERTIBLE VS. PORSCHE 718 BOXSTER

• Performance: With its 4.7-liter V8 engine, the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible practically begs to be unleashed on the open road. With just a touch of the gas pedal, you’ll enjoy the rush of rear-wheel drive and the unbridled potential of up to 454 horsepower available on demand, making your daily drives around nearby Weston a lot more exciting. Of course, you’ll still have fun with the Porsche 718 Boxster, but with only 300 horsepower available in its standard configuration, you just won’t get the same thrills you would with the Maserati Gran Turismo Convertible.
• Luxury: Both Maserati and Porsche are respected names in the premium luxury market, which is why it’s so disappointing to see that the Porsche 718 Boxster skimps on some of the amenities you might expect from a premium luxury convertible. For example, the Porsche 718 Boxster only has partial leather upholstery on its standard feature list, leaving its interior feeling cheaper than that of the Maserati GranTurismo
• Convertible, which comes standard with full Italian leather upholstery.
• Features: Even on rough or uneven roads, the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible keeps the ride smooth and enjoyable with its standard adaptive suspension dampers. Unfortunately, the same feature can’t be found with the standard offerings of the Porsche 718 Boxster, making the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible a better fit for Fort Lauderdale customers who want a convertible daily driver.

GRANTURISMO CONVERTIBLE VS. MERCEDES-BENZ E-CLASS

• Performance: As with the Porsche 718 Boxster before it, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a fast convertible, but it falls short of the raw power and refined performance offered by the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible. Barely eking out 329 horsepower, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is not nearly as compelling an option for Miami drivers as the new Maserati GranTurismo Convertible is.

Fortunately, with its rich leather upholstery and driver-centric design, the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible has that element of fit and finish that so many other competitors lack. Compare it to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Convertible, and it’s clear that the Italian automaker wins out. The Mercedes-Benz E-Class comes standard with MB-Tex upholstery, which is just a fancy way of saying synthetic leather that’s less comfortable and less prestigious overall.
• Features: Getting around to your favorite night spots and restaurants in the Miami area has never been easier than with the new Maserati GranTurismo Convertible, thanks in large part to its standard navigation system. By comparison, if you want a comparable navigation system on the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Convertible, you’ll have to pay extra for a higher grade trim.
